Margate Fall Funfest 2018
Dozens of vendors line Amherst Ave between Decatur and Coolidge right along the bay for the Margate Fall Funfest 2018. Shop for unique handmade jewelry, artwork, clothing, home decor and more. Listen to live music from several different bands throughout this two-day festival. They perform everything from rock to reggae, jazz to salsa, and anything else you can think of.
Steve & Cookie’s hosts the fan-favorite dog show on Sunday afternoon. Joe Holiday brings his brand of comedy and magic to the festival with two shows daily. I hear that the Phillie Phanatic might be making an appearance as well. Other activities include a turtle release boat ride, an eco-friendly kayak tour (fee required to participate), a demonstration from the local K-9 police unit, and a character parade on Sunday afternoon. And don’t forget to visit the Dunk-a-Cop booth hosted by the Margate Police Department. All proceeds from it benefit Gilda’s Club, which helps cancer patients and their families.
Margate Fall Funfest After Dark
On Saturday evening, leave the kiddos at home. Then, head back to the bay for Funfest After Dark. From 8 pm to 10 pm, sample wine, beer, and other alcoholic spirits while noshing on great food from local restaurants and listening to music by Mas Tequila. Admission costs just $20 per person and you must be at least 21 years old to attend. Funfest After Dark takes place right in front of Tomatoes on Amherst.
Parking for Margate Fall Funfest 2018
As you can imagine, parking tends to get pretty tricky at events like the Margate Fall Funfest 2018. After all, the bay proves quite popular on the weekends. This festival brings in even more people. To help festival goers, organizers set up transportation to and from Eugene A Tighe Middle School located at 7804 Amherst. Guests will be dropped off at either end of the festival location (Coolidge or Decatur). From there, explore the festival on foot. And it’s all free for everyone.
As the name suggests, the Margate Fall Funfest 2018 is nothing but fun for everyone. Start the fall season off right. Bring the family down to the bay for music, mayhem and much more.
