Margate Beachstock 2018
To start Margate Beachstock 2018 off with a bit of healthy competition, co-ed teams of four challenge each other in a volleyball tournament beginning at 8:30 am. Want to pit your skills against other teams? Gather your buddies together and register. Players must be at least 16 years old to compete. Each team must include at least one member of the opposite sex. Admission into the tournament costs $60 per team. A portion of all registration fees goes to the MBA Children’s Fund. Register online by visiting the Margate Business Association website here. Scroll down to the bottom of the page for registration information. Not the athletic type? Then come cheer the players on from the sidelines.
Margate Beachstock 2018 Events
Besides volleyball, Margate Beachstock 2018 offers dozens of things for visitors to see and do. After the national anthem at 10:45 am, visit the sponsor booths. WZXL 100.7 plays classic rock hits all day long. Enjoy live musical acts like Matt Santry, DJ Jason E, and The British Invasion Experience on the Main Stage at 11:30 am, 2:30 pm, and 8 pm respectively. Then, there’s beach bungee, bocce ball, shuffleboard, a hula hoop contest, a treasure hunt, yoga, a lifeguard competition, and face painting. Oh, did I mention the South Pacific Island and Hawaiian hula dancers? Around 8 pm, organizers light up a huge bonfire on the beach. Then, as the sun begins to fade, watch Despicable Me 3 on a huge inflatable screen right on the beach. And, of course, there’ll be food and drinks available for purchase all day long.
Unless you’re allergic to the sun, I can’t think of a single reason why you wouldn’t want to come to Margate Beachstock 2018. On the off chance that it rains, Beachstock will be postponed to July 1st. Otherwise, slap on some sunscreen, gather the family around and head over to the Margate Public Library on June 30th for 14 hours of fun at the beach.
