Downbeach Seafood Festival 2022
Chefs from more than a dozen of our best local restaurants prepare shrimp, crab, lobster, oysters, scallops, mussels, and more for thousands of guests. Partner each scrumptious morsel with a beer from the Great Brews of NJ tasting tent. (Must be at least 21 years old, of course.) At the Bimbo Bakeries’ chowder cook-off, everyone wins. That’s because your opinion ultimately helps decide the overall winner. It only costs you $10 for a sample of each entry. Then, you cast your vote for your top two picks. If you like crab cakes, sign yourself up for the crab cake eating contest at the Jay’s Crab Shack tent. Admission to this event is free but spots are limited. So, sign up early.
In addition to the fine food and drinks provided at the festival, guests will be treated to live entertainment as well. Watch South Pacific Island dancers show off their skills in front of the Downbeach Seafood Festival’s sand sculpture. They perform off and on throughout both days of the festival. Catch it anytime.
Ticket Info
Tickets at the gate cost $15 per adult (aged 12 and up). But, you can save yourself $5 a ticket and get in an hour earlier than the procrastinators by purchasing your tickets ahead of time. Simply visit the festival’s website today to get your discounted tickets.
Festival Parking
Free parking for the seafood fest will be available at 4800 Wellington Ave. A shuttle takes guests to and from Ski Beach all afternoon for free. For anyone who wishes to arrive by water rather than land, Ski Beach offers shoreline parking for non-motorized watercraft. Feel like paddling your way to the seafood festival rather than riding in the car? Make your method of transportation a paddleboard, kayak, or canoe instead. No need to wait in line for a shuttle. Plus, work off those calories you take in at the festival on your way home. Sounds great to me!
