Margate Easter Egg Hunt 2024
To play fair, organizers divided the hunt up into four different age groups: 0-4, 5-6, 7-8, and 9+. The Easter Bunny filled up more than 2000 colorful plastic eggs with sweets and treats. He plans on hiding them all around the firehouse. This is strictly a BYOB affair (bring your own basket). The Easter Bunny promises to pose for pics with the little ones throughout the afternoon. Food and other refreshments will be provided for sale at the event as well. This is a celebration that the whole family can enjoy together. If it rains, organizers planned a rain date of Sunday, March 24th.
April Fool’s Half Marathon
There are still spots open to participate in the April Fool’s Half Marathon in Atlantic City. It provides some great training for full marathons like the Boston Marathon (April 15th), the AC Marathon (October 20th), or the New York City Marathon (November 3rd). But if 13.1 miles sounds like a large hurdle to overcome right now, start off simply with an 8K on Saturday, April 6th. On the other hand, is a 13.1 mile run not challenging enough? Then sign up for the Jester Challenge: 8K on Saturday followed by a half-marathon on Sunday. Want an even bigger challenge? Then sign up for the Triple-Threat Bundle. That grants you entry in the April Fool’s Half-Marathon, the Bungalow Beach Boardwalk 5-Miler in June, and the AC Marathon in October. Commit to these races and receive a nice discount when you sign up for all three. That’ll get your heart pumpin’!
Atlantic County Earth Day Fundraiser – Tickets Still Available
That’s right. Tickets are still available for the Defend Brigantine Beach fundraiser for AC Earth Day. We continue to fight the good fight against the not-so-green wind turbines that threaten our shoreline. We also continue to convince our local government to put legislation in place to curb harmful construction micro-plastics in our community. If you feel even half as passionate about keeping our planet safe for our children and grandchildren to enjoy for generations to come, please come to our brunch at Provenza on Sunday, April 21st to learn how you can help.
