In just 11 days, we celebrate our nation’s independence. For many people, that means beer, barbecue, and big bada-BOOM! If you don’t know where to go to see Jersey Shore fireworks for the 4th, let me offer a few suggestions.
Jersey Shore Fireworks for the 4th
Atlantic City Fireworks
The big kahuna of fireworks shows happens right over the historic Atlantic City Boardwalk. In fact, AC loves its fireworks so much that two of its casinos (the Borgata and the Tropicana) each plan on putting on their own pyrotechnical displays. Borgata plans on starting its show at 9:30 pm, with Tropicana following up with its own at 10 pm. If you want to see either one, I highly suggest getting out on the boardwalk early. People start camping out spots in the early evening. While directly outside these two casinos may seem like the best spot to watch, there really is no “bad” place along the boardwalk. So, bring your chairs and a cooler. Slather on the sunscreen. Make sure you stay hydrated. And settle in. This is one show you definitely do not want to miss.
Margate Fireworks
The Margate Mothers’ Association puts on a spectacular show every year for the 4th of July. You could even say that it’s an “extravaganza”. The MMA’s July 4th Fireworks Extravaganza lights up the skies above the Huntington Ave beach at 9 pm. Bring your beach blankets and chairs to watch comfortably. Parking gets a bit tight the closer to showtime it gets. So make sure you come early to snag yourself a good spot.
Ventnor Fireworks
Finally, let’s talk about Ventnor. Now, while everyone else plans on waiting until the 4th, Ventnor plans to host their Independence Day celebration on Monday, July 3rd. Starting at 5 pm, come see local craftsmen and artists. Grab a bite to eat. Register for the “Ventnor Mile”, a one-mile fun run on the Ventnor boardwalk. If you don’t plan on running, cheer on the racers at 7 pm, followed by a live concert. Then, at 9:30 pm, the skies above the boardwalk light up.
Margate Beachstock 2023
A quick reminder. Beachstock takes place tomorrow, June 24th in Margate. The volleyball tournament starts at 8:30 am, with the cornhole tournament starting at 10 am. Plus, the entire day is jam-packed with live entertainment. Then, there’s a scavenger hunt, paddleboard lessons, Tahitian drums, a limbo contest, food, and so much more. Finally, the day’s festivities end with a family-friendly movie right there on the beach. Remember, no beach tags are required when you visit the beach tomorrow either. So, come out and enjoy an entire day at the beach with your friends and family.
