Atlantic City Marathon 2019
Did you know that the AC Marathon is the third oldest race of its kind in the US? For more than 60 years now, thousands of people converge on the historic Atlantic City Boardwalk to compete on this 26.2-mile course. It’s a great lead-up to the Boston Marathon next spring. In fact, it’s a certified USATF Boston qualifier race. The AC course tends to be a bit flatter, resulting in faster finish times. Eight miles of the course offers a direct oceanfront view. If you wish to compete, register online before October 19th. It costs $115 per person and is open to all ages. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a paying adult.
Atlantic City Half-Marathon
Maybe 26.2 miles sounds a bit daunting to you. How about giving the half-marathon a go then? This 13.1-mile course costs $105 to join. Again, you have until the end of the day on October 19th to register and only online.
For the Truly Adventurous
Think you have what it takes to go the distance and then some? On October 19th, organizers of the AC Marathon host a 5K and a 10K run. Sign up for either the 5K or the 10K on Saturday. Then, come back on Sunday to complete either the half or full marathon. That’s called the King Neptune Challenge. Visit the AC Marathon website here to register if you want to accept that challenge for yourself.
