COVID played a part in all of our lives in 2020. Last year’s half-marathon was scheduled to take place in Atlantic City. But then, COVID happened. So, they canceled it for the year. Fortunately, things look a lot different now. However, COVID concerns still loom. Therefore, the organizers of this year’s Atlantic City April Fools Half-Marathon decided to limit the number of runners for both their half-marathon and their 8K races to just 250 people.

Atlantic City April Fools Half-Marathon 2021
In keeping with social distancing guidelines, the AC April Fools Half-Marathon splits up its two races into two separate days. The 8K takes place on Saturday, April 24th. The half-marathon follows on Sunday, April 25th. Officials plan on a staggered start to allow for a safe distance between runners. The virtual AC Marathon proved so successful last October that officials decided to allow it for this year’s April Fools races as well. So, if you cannot make it to the physical race or simply feel uneasy racing among other people, feel free to sign up for one of the races and complete it virtually. You visit the same site as everyone else to register. But you choose your course and just upload your times when you complete your race(s).
Registration & Cost
If you register for the half-marathon before February 28th, it costs $95 per person. Wait until March and you pay $100 per person. Last chance entries between April 1st and April 10th run $105 per person. The registration cut-off is April 10th. The 8K costs $53 per person until March 1st. Then, it increases to $63 through the registration deadline. Now, for the more adventurous types, sign up for the Jester Challenge. You race the 8K on April 24th and then come back to complete a half-marathon on the 25th. Anyone who wishes to participate in person or virtually can visit the AC Race Series website here to register.
Remember, only the first 250 people who register for each race of the Atlantic City April Fools Half-Marathon 2021 may participate in person. If you miss out, sign up for the virtual race. Choose your own course. You still receive the same swag everyone else does who runs the race in person. And your endorphins do not care where you race. Good luck!
