Atlantic City Air Show 2019
Festivities begin when the US Army Golden Knights perform a National Anthem flag jump at 11:30 am. For the rest of the day, it’s a cavalcade of aircraft on display. Watch as the Air National Guard, Air Force, and Army personnel demonstrate their skills several feet above the air in planes and helicopters. The US Coast Guard brings the excitement from the air to the ocean. Even medical and local police officials perform flybys. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
Where to Watch
Since the aerial acrobatics of the Atlantic City Air Show 2019 take place high above Atlantic City, just about anywhere on the Boardwalk or beach makes a great spot to watch. And it’s absolutely free. If you decide to spend the day out on the water, pay attention to the “no boat zone” areas. These need to stay clear for the performers and emergency personnel standing by just in case they’re needed. Otherwise, drop anchor, sit back, and look up.
Now, for a premium experience, pick up tickets for the Flightline Club. For $55 per person, these tickets allow you access to a special tented VIP viewing area in the middle of a private beach. Here, you’ll have access to comfortable seating, tables, and a catered lunch with unlimited water and non-alcoholic beverages. Restrooms are conveniently located nearby. Listen to the narration of everything that happens all day long through their quality sound system. Tickets are available for purchase until August 20th. Simply visit the Flightline Club website here.
Helpful Tips to Prepare for Your Day at the Show
To make sure you enjoy yourself without harmful repercussions, organizers suggest that you slather on the sunscreen and wear a hat. Sunglasses help, too. Keep cool in loose, lighter colored clothing. Stay hydrated with a big bottle of water. When watching on the beach, bring a chair and/or blanket for comfort. Pop up an umbrella to keep the sun at bay when not watching what’s going on in the skies above. Make sure you bring your binoculars and a good camera so you don’t miss a moment of the action! And make sure you tune your portable radio to 95.5 FM or 1450 AM. The show simulcasts on both radio networks.
Red, White & Blue BBQ
Even though the official show takes place on the 21st, other fun activities happen in the two days leading up to the main show. For instance, on Monday the 19th, Linwood Country Club hosts a Red, White and Blue BBQ. From 6:30 pm to 9 pm, guests enjoy finger-lickin’ good barbecue chicken, hamburgers, and hot dogs as well as shrimp and Italian sausage with tons of sides to choose from. You’ll be dining with some of our fine men and women of the military as well. To top off the evening’s festivities, watch the US Army’s Golden Knights perform a night jump at dusk. Seating is limited, so make sure you get your tickets as soon as possible. Simply visit the Red, White and Blue BBQ event website here.
