This year totally changed how we live life…not just here but all around the world. Usually, we celebrate the change of seasons with Fall Funfest in Margate. But, due to COVID-19 concerns, that one particular event changed into a few days of socially distant fall fun instead. Another huge event we enjoy every year here at the Jersey Shore is the AC Marathon. Again, COVID-19 changed that. While not canceled, the 2020 Atlantic City Marathon goes virtual for the very first time. And that could prove very exciting.

2020 Atlantic City Marathon
Instead of thousands of people cramming into one area to start the race, the 2020 Atlantic City Marathon begins and ends wherever you decide. Yes, they still plan on hosting a 5K and 10K race on the first of this two-day event. The full and half-marathons officially take place on the second day. But all of these happen on a course each participant charts themselves.
Looking to start off by simply dipping your toe into the AC Marathon pool? Sign up for the 5K or 10K (3.1 miles and 6.2 miles, respectively). Feel like challenging yourself a little more? Try the half-marathon (13.1 miles). Ready for the big leagues? Then the full marathon it is! That’s 26.2 miles! Step up your game by doing the Neptune Challenge. That’s participating in racing on both days of the event. Choose either the 5K or 10K on the first day. Then, run the half or full marathon on the second day. If you participate in the 10K on Saturday and the full marathon on Sunday, you’ll have run 34.4 miles in one weekend. Amazing!
Cost of Participating in the 2020 Atlantic City Marathon
The 5K and 10K cost $50 per person for either race. Runners of the half-marathon pay $100 each while it costs just $10 more to participate in the full marathon. Want to take the Neptune Challenge? Whether you choose the 5K or 10K plus the half-marathon, you pay $125. Go for the whole enchilada with a 5K or 10K plus the full marathon and pay $130 per person. Visit the 2020 Atlantic City Marathon’s website to register today. Once you register, specifics about how to choose a course and report your time will be emailed to you.
