Barbecues and Beach Tags
Don’t feel like leaving the beach quite yet? The City of Margate allows beachgoers to barbecue right on the beach this Saturday, May 25th. Ventnor allows beach-site barbecues every weekend between now and September, as well as on Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day. Just be responsible about use and clean-up, please.
And don’t forget to pick up your beach tags before you head out this weekend. Anyone aged 12 or older must have their own beach tag. It should be available upon request from any Beach Badge Inspector who asks to see them. Ventnor and Margate share privileges. So, you only need one tag to visit both city’s beaches. Tags cost $7 per person through next Friday, May 31st. After that, they go up to $15 each. You can pick them up at Ventnor City Hall, the Margate Municipal Building or at Margate’s Bloom Pavilion (behind the library) during regular business hours. If you visit the Ventnor Farmer’s Market on May 31st, you can pick up your badges there as well. Active military members receive their beach tags for free. Simply provide proper ID when picking them up.
